Carlos Moglianesi, DMD, FACP

Board Certified Prosthodontist

Dr. Moglianesi is a Board Certified prosthodontist. A 1985 graduate of New Jersey Dental School, he also served a 2 year mini-residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Orofacial Pain & Temporomandibular Dysfunction.  He received a certificate of Advanced Prosthodontics training from Wadsworth Veterans Administration Hospital, in Los Angeles.

Teaching Duties:
He has academic appointments at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, UCLA School of Dentistry, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.   He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a prosthodontic consultant at the Lyons New Jersey Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Organizations:
He has active memberships in various professional organizations: American Dental Association, American College of Prosthodontics, New Jersey Dental Association, and Academy of Osseointegration.  Dr. Moglianesi was the president of the New Jersey Section of the American College of Prosthodontists in 2002.

In Demand Lecturer:
Dr. Moglianesi lectures extensively on restorative dentistry and implant prosthetics in both English and Spanish throughout the United States, as well as Latin and South America.

Marybeth Buniak, DMD

Dr. Buniak previously was the Dental Hygiene Program Director for Eastern International College in Jersey City, NJ—not surprising for someone who began her career as a dental hygienist. Now she is a staff dentist for them. After eleven years in the field of hygiene she earned her DMD at the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey Dental School.

Experienced:
Her dental career has spanned forty years including five years as an adjunct faculty member at UMDNJ. She joined Dr. Moglianesi in 2008 bringing her many years of experience in dentistry and good oral healthcare. Having her hand (literally) in the mouths of a third generation of patients testifies to the expertise she can provide for a new generation of healthy teeth and gums.

Organizations:
Dr. Buniak is a member of the American Dental Association and the New Jersey Dental Association where she served as chairperson for both the Council on Young Dentists and the Council on Communications. As a member of the Union County Dental Society she has also served as president as well as an executive board member.

Dr. Buniak is happy to serve alongside Dr. Moglianesi and his staff at the Chatham office.

Sandra Pierre-Paul

Dental Assistant

Sandra Pierre-Paul is Dr. Moglianesi’s dental assistant. Trained as a Registered Dental Assistant at the Scotch Plains campus of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Sandra has become a veteran assistant with fifteen years of experience under Carlos’ capable tutoring.

A Haitian by birth, this quiet, gentle soul has been a reliable and loyal addition to the staff. Her excellent rapport with patients gives her a comforting “bedside manner” that people wish all health professionals had.

• Formerly he was also the prosthodontic consultant at the VA Medical Center in Lyons, New Jersey, a post he held for ten years
  

In 2014 Dr. Marybeth Buniak served as the chairperson of the dental hygiene program of Eastern International College. She presently holds a faculty position. As a former dental hygienist before becoming a dentist, she brings years of experience and knowledge to the best practices in hygiene.

Their commitment to educating other professionals allows them to bring up to date technology and techniques to their everyday practice and also demonstrates their experience and expertise in dentistry.
